Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation of the skin that removes the stratum corneum, or the top layer of the skin, where dead skin cells exist and the effects of sun damage can be seen. In addition to surface exfoliation, microdermabrasion promotes the production of new cells in the basal layer of the dermis by cleaning the pores and stimulating collagen production. A 90 minute session includes a mandelic peel and a penetrating peptide mask, plus a complimentary chest and decolletage treatment.
